The dehydration temperature is 86.5 ℃, and it is soluble in water, acid, and alkali, but insoluble in alcohol. The aqueous solution is acidic and has an acidic and astringent taste. It begins to decompose when heated to 530 ℃ and ends at 860 ℃. The decomposition product is r-AL2O3.
