Do you all know the advantages of using iron free aluminum sulfate in papermaking? Anhydrous aluminum sulfate is commonly used as an additive in the paper industry. Why choose anhydrous aluminum sulfate instead of aluminum sulfate? Below, the editor will discuss its advantages.
1. Low cost calcium carbonate fillers can be added, which not only reduces production costs, improves paper whiteness and folding resistance, but also overcomes the unavoidable disadvantages of synthetic rubber materials (such as AKD), such as slipping and difficult control of sizing degree;
2. The retention and filtration effects of the slurry are significantly improved;
3. The appearance is white, with extremely low iron content, which can meet the needs of manufacturing high-quality paper;
4. Except for the length of breakage, all other indicators of paper performance have been improved to varying degrees;
5. It is a pre hydrolyzed product of aluminum chloride, with a relatively low degree of hydrolysis, and the decrease in pH value of pulp is smaller than that of aluminum sulfate;
6. Industrial aluminum sulfate is only suitable for acidic sizing, while iron free aluminum sulfate can be used for sizing in acidic and neutral environments, significantly reducing system corrosion and making white water treatment easier;
7. Polyaluminum chloride can maintain a high positive charge in neutral or even alkaline ranges, unlike aluminum sulfate which quickly forms Al (OH) 3 precipitates. Additionally, due to the pre hydrolysis of polyaluminum chloride, it does not significantly lower the pH value of the system.
